Nick DiLauro’s lacrosse journey has connected Peterborough’s box lacrosse system with prep school competition and NCAA field lacrosse. With the Ennismore James Gang, he has continued developing his offensive game while contributing as both a scorer and a playmaker.

His 2026 summer also included a memorable opportunity with the Peterborough Lakers. Called up from senior B, DiLauro scored his first MSL goal, then added the winner with just 37 seconds remaining in a 10–9 comeback victory over Brampton.

Early Years

A Peterborough native, DiLauro developed through the Lakers’ system. His RIT biography lists provincial box lacrosse championships with Peterborough in 2014, 2016, 2019 and 2021.

He continued his education at The Kiski School in Pennsylvania, where he became a lacrosse captain and team MVP in 2022. That season also brought First Team All-MSLA recognition at midfield. His leadership extended to hockey, where he served as team captain as well.

Climbing The Ladder

DiLauro’s Junior A career with Peterborough included 48 regular-season appearances from 2022 through 2024. Across those three summers, he recorded 32 goals and 43 assists for 75 points.

His most productive regular season came in 2023, when he collected 14 goals and 20 assists for 34 points in 13 games. In the 2024 playoffs, he added four goals and 11 assists in eight appearances.

Peterborough selected DiLauro in the fifth round of the 2025 MSL draft, maintaining his connection with his hometown program as he moved into senior lacrosse.

College Experience

DiLauro continued his field lacrosse career at Rochester Institute of Technology, studying exercise science and playing at attack and midfield.

He made his collegiate debut in 2023 and scored his first two college goals against Skidmore.

In 2025, he appeared in 23 games and contributed 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points. His season included a hat trick against Grove City, three assists against St. John Fisher and a goal and an assist against Ohio Northern in the NCAA Tournament.

He followed with seven goals and nine assists in 22 appearances during 2026, including a goal against Tufts in the NCAA championship game.

Making His Mark In The OSL

DiLauro made a productive transition to senior competition with Ennismore.

In 2025, he recorded 17 goals and 10 assists for 27 points in 10 regular-season games. The following summer, he increased his production to 29 points in eight appearances, collecting 12 goals and 17 assists. He added five goals and two assists in Ennismore’s two playoff games.

One standout performance came in a 9–7 victory over Hamilton in 2026. DiLauro helped Ennismore establish an early lead by assisting on three first-period goals, finding Robbie McGrayne, Liam Vollans and Sebastian Reynolds.

With Hamilton pressing in the third, DiLauro scored on the power play and later set up another McGrayne goal. His goal and four assists earned him first-star honours as the James Gang held off the Bengals.

He also produced a hat trick and two assists in a meeting with Owen Sound, earning second-star recognition despite Ennismore’s 12–7 defeat. Those performances demonstrate the different ways he can help generate offence.

Making An MSL Opportunity Count

DiLauro’s June 2026 appearance with Peterborough provided one of the highlights of his senior career so far.

Facing Brampton at Memorial Arena, he scored in the second period for his first MSL goal. The Lakers later fell behind 9–7 before Rob Hellyer scored twice to draw them even.

DiLauro then supplied the decisive finish with 37 seconds left, completing Peterborough’s comeback. He ended the night with two goals and an assist, turning a call-up opportunity into an important contribution for his hometown team.

Beyond The Floor

DiLauro’s education has remained part of his development. He earned academic honour roll recognition throughout his time at Kiski before pursuing exercise science at RIT.

Lacrosse also runs in the family. His RIT biography identifies his brother Zack as a player at Ohio Wesleyan. Away from lacrosse, Nick’s interests include golf and hockey.

Gary Groob’s Take

What stands out about Nick DiLauro is his ability to contribute as both a scorer and a distributor. His five-point performance against Hamilton showed how his passing can help establish an offence, while his finish against Brampton demonstrated what he can do when an important opportunity arrives.

His production with Ennismore has continued to grow, and his college experience adds another dimension to his development.

For James Gang fans, DiLauro is a player whose contributions deserve attention. His senior career already includes a memorable hometown moment, with more opportunities ahead to build on that foundation.
