Lucas Littlejohn has already experienced championship success in junior and international lacrosse. A Minto Cup winner with the Whitby Warriors and a gold medallist with Canada, the right-handed forward brought that background to the Brooklin Merchants’ pursuit of an OSL championship in 2026.

His contributions included a standout performance in the game that sent Brooklin to the final. Littlejohn scored four goals and added two assists as the Merchants defeated Owen Sound 9–4 to clinch their semifinal series.

Early Years

A native of Courtice, Littlejohn attended Holy Trinity before continuing his education and field lacrosse career at the University of Richmond.

His development in box lacrosse included the Whitby Warriors, where he became a Minto Cup champion in 2022 and later served as team captain. Those experiences provided opportunities to contribute first as a younger player, then take on greater responsibility within the program.

In an interview with Warriors media, Littlejohn credited his father with introducing him to lacrosse at a young age. What began with being signed up to try the sport developed into a lasting passion and a pathway to university competition.

Climbing The Ladder

Littlejohn finished his junior career with an outstanding 2025 regular season. He led the OJLL in scoring with 49 goals and 69 assists for 118 points in 20 games.

His production and leadership helped make him one of four graduating Whitby players protected by Brooklin Lacrosse Club ahead of the 2026 MSL draft. General manager Gavin Prout praised his intelligence, athleticism and approach to the game when explaining the decision.

Littlejohn’s ability to contribute offensively also carried into NCAA Division I lacrosse. In 2025, he led Richmond with 40 goals and 53 points, earning Second Team All-Atlantic 10 recognition. His season included four goals and two assists in a victory over Virginia.

Making His Mark In The OSL

With the Brooklin Merchants, Littlejohn became an important contributor during the 2026 playoff run.

His performance in Game 4 of the semifinal against Owen Sound showed the different ways he could influence an offence. Littlejohn assisted on Brooklin’s opening goal, then scored on the power play to give the Merchants a 3–2 lead after the first period.

He added two goals in the second as Brooklin took control, then supplied another assist and his fourth goal in the final frame. The six-point afternoon earned him first-star honours as the Merchants won 9–4, claimed the series 3–1 and advanced to face Six Nations.

Littlejohn continued to contribute in the championship series. He scored in the opening game and again in Game 2, helping Brooklin build an early lead in a 10–9 victory that evened the final.

Experience Beyond The OSL

Littlejohn has also gained senior experience with Brooklin Lacrosse Club in Major Series Lacrosse, progressing from junior call-up opportunities into the senior program. His development has therefore included competing in both OSL and MSL while continuing his college career.

His international résumé includes a particularly memorable accomplishment. At the 2025 World Lacrosse Men’s U20 Championship in South Korea, Littlejohn scored twice in Canada’s 6–5 gold-medal victory over the United States.

The result secured Canada’s first championship in the men’s U20 competition, with Littlejohn providing two of the team’s six goals in the final.

Beyond The Floor

Lacrosse is only part of Littlejohn’s athletic background. He also played high-level junior hockey, with the Niagara IceDogs announcing his signing in March 2022.

The club noted that he had spent most of that season with the Pickering Panthers and scored twice in his Ontario Hockey League debut against North Bay. His Richmond biography also lists an Ontario Junior Hockey League championship and a silver medal at the World Junior A Challenge among his hockey accomplishments.

Gary Groob’s Take

What stands out about Lucas Littlejohn is his ability to contribute in important games. Scoring twice in a world championship final and producing six points in an OSL series-clinching victory are accomplishments worth recognizing.

His junior scoring totals show the balance in his offence. He can finish chances, but his assists demonstrate how often he helps create opportunities for others.

With championship experience, university success and a growing senior résumé, Littlejohn brings plenty to the floor. His performances with Brooklin give OSL fans another talented player to follow.
