The North Stars Get Back In The Winners Circle

The Ennismore James Gang (1-11-1) visited the Owen Sound North Stars (3-8-1) at the Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound, Ontario on Sunday afternoon.

A rematch from the previous day where Ennismore got their first win of the year in a hard fought overtime battle.  Owen Sound was looking to get back to their winning ways, while the James Gang was hoping to build on their win.

The goaltending match-up had Andrew Kidd in net for the James Gang facing Craig Wende in net for Owen Sound. 

Another day, another hard fought battle between these two evenly matched squads. A strong third period for Owen Sound brought them to a 9-5 victory.

Brody Caskenette (3g,2a), Jordan Caskenette (2g,2a), and Jordan McMillen (2g,3a) led the way for Owen Sound.   Tommy Collins (2g,1a) had another big day for Ennismore. 

To The Game:

The North Stars got on the board when Tetsuya Yamada blasted a Jordan McMillen pass at 3:43, followed by Jordan Caskenette finishing a Nolan Gerrard pass at 7:19.

Ennismore struck back with three of their own.  Carter Page converted a Riley Caldwell pass at 11:11, followed by Holden Lowes blasting a Tommy Collins pass 0:30 seconds later.  Collins then added one himself off a Carter Page feed at 17:52.

Owen Sound finished the period strong scoring twice in the final minute.  Brody Caskenette scored with 0:37 seconds left followed by Jordan Caskenette adding one with just 0:04 seconds remaining. 

After one period, Owen Sound 4 Ennismore 3.

Second Period:

The teams exchanged goals.  Jordan Caskenette scored for the North Stars off a Jordan McMillen pass at 1:54, but Curtis Martin answered with a laser off a Riley Caldwell pass at 10:07.

After two periods, Owen Sound 5 Ennismore 4.

Third Period:

The North Stars had more jump in their step to start the third period.  Riley Thompson scored on the power-play off a Jordan Caskenette pass at 1:02, followed by Brody Caskenette with a pair of goals for an 8-5 North Stars lead.

Tommy Collins stopped the Owen Sound run with a blast off a Riley Caldwell feed at 7:35 on the power-play, but Jordan McMillen  scored unassisted to restore the four goal cushion.

Final score, Owen Sound 9 Ennismore 5.
