Snake Island Puts On A Dominant Performance To Win The President's Cup

The Snake Island Muskies (6-0) faced the Brooklin Merchants (5-1) in the gold medal game of the 2025 President's Cup at the Iroquois Park Sports Centre in Whitby, Ontario.

The goaltending match-up had Nick Damude in net for the Muskies facing Deacan Knott in net for the Merchants.

Brooklin came out with a lot of jump early, but the Muskies withstood the challenge.   Snake Island got rolling with two three goal runs in the first  separated by one Merchants goal.  The Muskies were led by Vaughn Harris and Skkyler Thomas with a pair each.

A back and forth period, with both teams turning it into a track meet.  The Muskies were doing a good job keeping the Merchants to the outside with their shots.  The temperature was definitely starting to rise as the period went on.

Brooklin kept pressing in the third, but credit to the Muskies defense that stood tall.  Snake Island had an answer for most of the Merchants plays, and when Brooklin got through Nick Damude was there.

Snake Island wins the 2025 President's Cup handily, with an 11-5 victory.
