Six Nations Wins The Ontario Series Lacrosse Championship, And A Berth In The Presidents Cup

The Brooklin Merchants traveled west to face the Six Nations Rivermen in the fifth and deciding game of the Ontario Series Lacrosse (OSL) Finals Monday evening at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in Haggersville, Ontario. 

The goaltending match-up had Thomas Kiazyk in net for Brooklin facing Cam Dunkerley in net for the Rivermen. 

The Six Nations Rivermen captured the 2026 Ontario Series Lacrosse championship with a 7–4 victory over the Brooklin Merchants in the fifth and deciding game of the finals. Brooklin held a 2–1 lead after the opening period, but Six Nations scored three times in the second to take a 4–3 advantage into the final frame.


Carson Christie tied the game for Brooklin midway through the third, but Jackson Webster responded just eight seconds later to complete his hat trick and regain the lead for Six Nations. Goaltender Cam Dunkerley preserved the advantage with several key saves before David Peterkin and Brooker Muir added empty-net goals. The victory earned the Rivermen a berth in the Presidents Cup.

To The Game:

The Merchants scored first on the power play with a howitzer from Carter Page off a Landen Sinfield pass at 7:35, followed by a shorthanded marker from Landen Sinfield off a perfect "thread the needle" pass from Parker Pipher at 13:54.

Jackson Webster got the Rivermen on the board with a blast to the corner off a David Peterkin pass at 16:23.

After one period, Brooklin 2, Six Nations 1.

Second Period 

The Rivermen opened the second period scoring with Jackson Webster converting a beautiful feed from Thunder Hill at 3:57, followed by Mitch VanEvery with a laser to the far corner off a Jackson Webster pass at 11:40 for their first lead of the night.

Brooklin came back with Carter Page scoring his second of the night in transition, unassisted, 29 seconds later, but Thunder Hill answered from the side of the net with a bounced shot off a Braedon Saris feed at 15:03.

After two periods, Six Nations 4, Brooklin 3.

Third Period:

After half a period of end-to-end scoreless action, the Merchants finally were able to tie the game.  Carson Christie fired a high-to-high shot over the shoulder of Cam Dunkerley at 9:13, but Jackson Webster's third of the night restored the lead with a twister off a Marshall Powless pass just 8 seconds later. 

David Peterkin put the game on ice with an empty-net goal after Cam Dunkerley made a couple of incredible saves at 18:53, followed by Brooker Muir with another empty-net goal off a Dunkerley lead pass at 19:10.

Final score, Six Nations 7, Brooklin 4.
