A Complete Effort From Ennismore Puts The "W" In Their Pockets

The Owen Sound North Stars (4-3) traveled east to face the Ennismore James Gang (2-7) at the Robert E. Young Recreation Centre in Ennismore, Ontario. 

The goaltending match-up had Dante Mancini in net for Owen Sound facing Riley Finn guarding the cage for Ennismore. 

The Ennismore James Gang played their most complete game of the season.  Jumping out to an early lead, led by Nick Dilauro (3g,5a), the James Gang dictated the pace of the game.

Although Jordan Caskenette was able to solve Riley Finn twice in the second period, the James Gang still pressed forward scoring five times in the period.   Frank Coyle (2g,4a) and Michael Blaymires (2g,5a) had a pair each leading the way. 

Play got noticeably rougher to start the third period, which allowed Owen Sound to try and get back in the game.  Three goals, two on the power-play, had Owen Sound just two goals back.  However, a pair of late goals from the James Gang put the "W" in their column.   Ennismore held on for a 9-5 victory.

To The Game:

After more than half thr period of scoreless play, Nick Dilauro opened the scoring for the James Gang off a Reagan Martinell pass at 12:20, followed by Nate Allan with a low to low shot to the corner off a Chris Harland pass at 19:14.

After one period, Ennismore 2 Owen Sound 0.

Second Period:

Frank Coyle kept the James Gang pushing forward opening the second period scoring with a blast off a Nick Dilauro feed at 0:08 seconds.

Jordan Caskenette finally got the North Stars on the board with a sidearm snipe off a Brody Caskenette pass at 1:09, but Michael Blaymires restored the three goal lead off a Frank Coyle pass at 3:45.

Jordan Caskenette added his second of the period off a Brody Caskenette pass at 6:52, but Nick Dilauro answered for Ennismore with his second of the game off a Frank Coyle pass at 9:14.

Frank Coyle added his second of the game on the power-play off a Chris Harland pass at 11:00, followed by Michael Blaymires with a great individual effort off a Nick Dilauro feed at 13:13.

After two periods, Ennismore 7 Owen Sound 2.

Third Period:

After a number of penalties to open the period Jordan Caskenette added a power-play goal off a Brody Caskenette pass at 2:25, followed by Teyatsu Yamada with a low to low laser on the power-play off a Brody Caskenette pass at 2:54.  Jack Fitzpatrick brought Owen Sound within two goals with a blast off a Yamada feed at 9:54.

Nick Dilauro stopped the North Stars three goal run with a power-play goal off a sharp feed from Michael Blaymires at 13:46, followed by a Bryce Dennis marker off a Blaymires pass from in front at 14:48.

Final score, Ennismore 9 Owen Sound 5.
Shots on goal favored the North Stars 55-53.
