The Brooklin Merchants have been awarded the 2025 Presidents Cup.

From the Merchants Organization:

"We are thrilled to be hosting the 2025 Prezzy. It was a complete effort by the executive with each member contributing in their own way.
It came together with hotel, restaurant and transportation offering different types of services and discounts.
Now the work begins in making the 2025 Prezzy one of the best."

History:

The Presidents Cup is the National Senior level box lacrosse championship for the Canadian Lacrosse Association. The Championship is annual and awards a “Gold”, “Silver”, and “Bronze” placing. The skill levels have been adjusted in recent years, Senior “B” teams from across Canada now compete for the Presidents Cup, as before it was all Senior teams. Senior “A” is now represented by “Major Lacrosse” like Ontario’s Major Series Lacrosse and Western Lacrosse Association compete for the Mann Cup.

The President's Cup is in honour of the Canadian Lacrosse Association President and recognizes the contributions of all Past Presidents of the C.L.A. This beautiful silver trophy was donated to the Canadian Lacrosse Association in September 1964 by Mr. K.G. Thompson.

The original Presidents Cup was retired to the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame in New Westminster, B.C. in the early 1980's. The current trophy commemorates the history of leadership of the CLA and lists the Presidents of the Association and the Chair of the Board of Directors under the new structure of the C.L.A.
