OPENING CEREMONY: 

2025 Presidents Cup Sr B Lacrosse National Championships

WHAT: 

The Presidents Cup is the National Senior B level box lacrosse championship for Lacrosse Canada (LC). You are invited to attend the opening ceremony that will include dignitaries to welcome fans and participants to the eight-team tournament scheduled from August 23-30, 2025 at Iroquois Park Sports Centre, Whitby, ON.

WHO: 

Those in attendance at the opening ceremony will include; former NHL goaltender, Glenn Healy an accomplished bagpiper who will lead teams on to the floor and Dan Clancy, lead singer of the Canadian rock band Lighthouse who will perform the national anthem. We will also receive greetings from Elizabeth Roy, Mayor of the Town of Whitby and MPP Lorne Coe, member of the Ontario Legislature representing the riding of Whitby.

Iroquois Park Sports Centre, Main Arena, Pad # 1

500 Victoria St W, Whitby, ON

WHY:

The annual championship awards Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. It is held in honour of the President and recognizes the contributions of all Past Presidents of LC. This beautiful silver trophy was donated to LC in September 1964 by Mr. K.G. Thompson.
