Rivermen Stay Near The Top With Convincing Win Over Belleville

The Belleville Kodiaks (2-6) faced the Six Nations Rivermen (7-1) in Ontario Series Lacrosse action at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena in Haggersville, Ontario.
The goaltending match-up had Gavin Williamson in net for the Kodiaks facing Cam Dunkerley in net for the Rivermen.
The Six Nations Rivermen used a dominant team effort and a balanced offensive attack to earn a convincing 13-4 victory over the Belleville Kodiaks on Saturday night at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena. Belleville struck first midway through the opening period when Nate Schultzkie found the back of the net, but the Rivermen quickly seized control. Goals from Rodd Squire, Thunder Hill, and Jackson Webster sparked a five-goal opening frame, while late tallies from Webster and David Anderson gave Six Nations a commanding 5-2 lead after twenty minutes.
The Rivermen continued to dictate the pace in the second period, outscoring the Kodiaks 4-1 to build an insurmountable advantage. Mitch VanEvery, Ike Squire, David Anderson, and Alex Kew all found the scoresheet as Six Nations showcased its depth and transition game. Belleville continued to battle, receiving goals from Koichi Nakamura and Nolan Rutty, but the Rivermen never allowed the visitors to gain any momentum. Ike Squire added his second goal of the night in the third period, while Mason Hill and Thunder Hill capped off the offensive outburst as Six Nations cruised to the 13-4 victory. Cam Dunkerley was solid between the pipes for the Rivermen, while the balanced scoring attack featured multi-goal performances from Jackson Webster, Ike Squire, Thunder Hill, and David Anderson.

Belleville got off to a strong start with Nate Schultzkie beating Cam Dunkerley to the glove side off a Cain Brown pass at 10:50, but Rodd Squire evened the game with a blast off a Brody Thomas feed at 11:58.
Thunder Hill then gave the Rivermen the lead with a low to high blast off a Mason Hill pass at 13:56, followed by Jackson Webster with a laser off a Braedon Saris pass at 16:19.
Nick Bafia got Belleville within one at 18:58, but late goals from Jackson Webster and David Anderson 19 seconds apart had Six Nations up by three at the break.

Second Period:
After more than half a period of end to end action, Six Nations increased their lead with Mitch VanEvery finishing a Mason Hill pass at 13:04, followed by an unassisted tally from Ike Squire at 14:25.
David Anderson added a shorthanded marker off a Jackson Webster pass at 16:04, followed by Alex Kew converting a Brooker Muir feed in transition at 18:09.
Belleville kept fighting with Koichi Nakamura scoring off a Nolan Downey feed at 19:57.

Third Period:
Six Nations continued to control the game with Ty Logan converting a Thunder Hill feed at 2:43, but Nolan Rutty replied in transition unassisted at 4:59 for the Kodiaks.
Ike Squire scored his second of the game with a low to low laser off a Braedon Saris pass at 6:16, followed by Mason Hill with a blast off a Jackson Webster pass at 11:36. Thunder Hill continued the onslaught with a sidearm snipe off a Anahalihs Doxtator feed at 13:06,
