Ennismore Ties Hamilton With Seconds Left

The Hamilton Bengals (4-4-1) visited the Ennismore James Gang (0-8-1) in Ontario Series Lacrosse action Saturday evening. 

This is the third meeting, with the Bengals being victorious in the first two.  For Hamilton, Tye Argent (8g,16a), Colin Matthews (3g,18a), Shane Halliwell (8g,11a), Yvon Bolduc (4g,15a) and Jack Fitzgerald 11g,4a) have been the offensive leaders.  

Ennismore has been better offensively lately, but still are having some trouble.  Holden Lowes (11g,3a), Adam Churchill (6g,6a), Taylor Dooley (6g,5a) and Carter Page (4g,6a) have been the leaders for the James Gang. 

The goaltending match-up had Sam Haines in net for Hamilton facing Andrew Kidd in net for Ennismore. 

A defensive struggle had this a one goal game in favor of the James Gang after two periods 4-3.  Hamilton got on a run scoring three to start the third, but Ennismore goals from Carter Page and Tommy Collins on the power-play put this game to overtime.

In the extra period, Dawson Brown gave the Bengals the lead, but Tommy Collins' second of the game off a Carter Page feed shorthanded with just 0:11 seconds left tied the game.  The game ended in a 7-7 tie.

To The Game:

Shane Halliwell opened the scoring for Hamilton off a Jordan Gilles pass at 0:28 seconds, but a pair from Carter Page had the James Gang in the lead at the break.

After one period, Ennismore 2 Hamilton 1.

Second Period:

The Bengals tied it up when Tyson Allison blasted a Dawson Brown pass in transition at 1:58.

Carter Page's third of the game followed by Holden Lowes with a great individual effort off a Nolan Kenney pass at 10:10 staked the James Gang to a two goal lead.

Thomas MacDonald got Hamilton within one finishing an Andrew Vradenburg feed at 19:34.

After two periods, Ennismore 4 Hamilton 3.

Third Period:

The Bengals got moving in the third putting together a three goal run.  Thomas MacDonald got his second of the game, followed by Cooper Day-Allison giving Hamilton the lead off a Collin Matthews pass at 3:48.  Hamilton then increased their lead off a Tyler Allison blast that found the far corner off a Cooper Day-Allison pass at 12:48.

Ennismore wouldn't be denied.  Carter Page with his fourth of the game unassisted at 13:01, followed by Tommy Collins with the tying marker on the power-play off a Page feed at 16:37.

After regulation, Ennismore 6 Hamilton 6.

Overtime:

After the majority of the period going back and forth, Dawson Brown gave Hamilton the lead on the power-play off a Vern Hill pass at 8:19.  Tommy Collins answered shorthanded with just 0:11 seconds left and this game ended in a tie.

Final score, Ennismore 7 Hamilton 7.
