The Clearview Crushers (3-10-1) and the Hamilton Bengals (8-5-1) met in a rematch of the previous day at the Stayner Arena in Stayner, Ontario in Ontario Series Lacrosse action Sunday afternoon.

In a very evenly played game, the Bengals put together a three goal run in the final few minutes to win 15-12 over Clearview.  This game should have the same zest and tempo to it.

The goaltending match-up had Dylan Sprentz in net for Hamilton facing Nate Jollymore in net for the Crushers.

The Bengals once again had big games from Shane Halliwell (3g,1a), Vern Hill (3g,2a) and Cam Milligan (0g,6a) en route to a 13-7 victory over the Clearview Crushers.

A close first period had the Bengals up 2-1, but penalty trouble put Clearview behind the eight ball.  Five power-play goals, as well as a shorthanded goal sealed the Crushers fate in this game.

To The Game:

Hamilton got on the board first when Vern Hill converted a Dawson Brown pass at 1:07, but Ryan Haigh answered with a blast off a Braydon Hickey feed at 10:42 to tie the game.  Brown then gave Hamilton the lead once more on the power-play finishing a Tyson Allison pass at 11:44.

After one period, Hamilton 2 Clearview 1.

Second Period:

Gareth Haigh tied the game for Clearview on the power-play with a laser off a Cole Hanrahan pass at 0:50 seconds, but Cooper Day-Allison restored the Bengals lead wiring a Cam Milligan pass home at 2:13.

Clearview put together a small run with Cole Hanrahan converting a Gareth Haigh pass at 3:06, followed by Haigh himself blasting a Hanrahan feed at 4:06 for the Crushers first lead of the day.

Nick D'amico tied the game for Hamilton with a great individual effort unassisted on a delayed penalty at 7:56, followed by Luca Romano and Vern Hill trading goals to keep the game knotted up.

In the final minute of the period, Hamilton took advantage of undisciplined play by the Crushers scoring a pair of power-play goals.  Neil McInroy quick sticked an Andrew Vradenburg pass at 19:07, followed by Tyson Allison finishing a Colin Matthews pass with just 0:03 seconds left in the period.

After two periods, Hamilton 8 Clearview 5.

Third Period:

Thomas MacDonald increased the Bengals lead with a low to low shot off an Andrew Vradenburg pass at 2:02 shorthanded, but Angus Rawding answered with a power-play goal just 0:55 seconds later.

Rawding added a second power-play goal with a laser off a Gareth Haigh pass at 12:19, but Colin Matthews responded with a screen shot from the outside off an Adam Hawrelak feed at 14:37 shorthanded.

Trevor McDonald added another goal for Hamilton unassisted at 15:38 to open a little breathing room for Hamilton, followed by Shane Halliwell and Tyson Allison scoring 0:28 seconds apart for a six goal lead.

Final score, Hamilton 13 Clearview 7.
